The Kickstarter, weighing in at over 250% funded, has closed!

Thank you so much for your love, support, questions, comments, encouragement and more – my favorite thing about creating merch for fandom communities is being able to share space with so many awesome and supportive people, and that's definitely y'all! Now it's time to get to the good stuff: getting the goods and shipping them out!

What's Next?

PAYMENTS

I was originally going to use the third-party survey conductor BackerKit to collect mailing information, payment details, and pledge information. However, after the Kickstarter closed, I learned that Kickstarter allows me to take in funds directly, rather than send out a separate survey to collect payment details. According to Kickstarter:

The funds pledged will be debited directly from backers' cards. There is a 14-day window following the project’s deadline where we [Kickstarter] will be collecting and processing the pledges.

I've chosen to opt to do it this way for two reasons. First, Kickstarter's ability to automate payments from you to my account makes it a lot more efficient - y'all don't have to watch your emails for more than one survey and it'll be done on a schedule to ensure I can stay on top of my game. Second, this means I can send out surveys to backers sooner, meaning we can start production sooner, ship sooner, and get you your pins sooner!

GETTING YOUR PINS

I've already begun building surveys to collect your pin preferences, so keep an eye out on your emails! Those emails will be coming from BackerKit, because BackerKit allows users to purchase add-ons while also filling out your pledge information - so if you find you want another pin or a patch, that's your chance to get one!

FINAL DAY TO PLEDGE!

Hi everyone!

Today is the final day of this Kickstarter! I cannot believe we're near the end of the funding period - thank you so much again for all your love, support and engagement along the way. It's truly bonkers to me that we're over 200% funded, and I truuuuuly couldn't have done it without you!!

The Kickstarter officially closes on Friday, September 16 at 8:28 AM EDT. This means you have until that time to:

• Pledge to the Kickstarter
• Update your pledge to include another pin or the patch (which counts as a pin)
• Share the Kickstarter with a friend who said they wanted some pins but didn't pledge

Once the Kickstarter closes, I will send out information about next steps right here in this space. Please ensure your Kickstarter account is attached to an email you check regularly. You will be receiving communication from me in the coming weeks about how to pay for and claim your pledges, and I'd hate for that to get lost!

STRETCH GOAL UNLOCKED!!

The three stretch goal pins and the stretch goal patch have all been unlocked - we reached our final goal of $3,000! Thank you!!!

There are 7 more days in this Kickstarter campaign, meaning 7 more days for y'all to make sure you've pledged for the amount of pins you want - and 7 days until I get to start sending y'all surveys so I can order and ship your pins and patches!

Here are a few things for y'all to keep on your radar - don't worry, there will be plenty more reminders from me on this, I just like to start off on the right foot!

• All of the pins on every tier are now unlocked and the rainbow pride patch counts as a pin. So if you pledged for 3 pins but decided you now also want the patch, you'd need to up your pledge by 1 pin.
• If you are an early bird pledge and you want to up your pledge to encompass more pins but don't want to lose your reward, please shoot me an email at [email protected] with the name on your Kickstarter account and the amount of your original early bird pledge. I will make a note in my spreadsheet that, though you upped your pledge, you were an original early-bird tier member!
• After the Kickstarter concludes, you'll get two surveys from me (and those will also come with announcements like the one you're reading right now!). The first will be about payment and shipping, the second will be about pin selection. This will also be when you can add on additional pins if they're available!
• I will also be recording and sharing via Kickstarter update a video walk-through of each survey for folks who may struggle with written instructions and guidelines. If there's anything else I can do to make it more accessible, please let me know and I will do everything in my power to make it happen :)

Final Stretch Goal Pin + Patch Announced!

Hi everyone!

We're 8 days away from concluding this Kickstarter and 5 days away from NONA THE NINTH's release!!!

In celebration, I wanted to announce the final pin + patch that will be unlocked if we pass $3,000!

The idea fell into my brain to create an old-fashioned-diner-style sign based on the iconic burger logo Nona's sporting on the book cover. A few days on Procreate and a few rounds with Photoshop annnd here we are! (What are the best burgers on the other side of the River? No one knows...except the RBs...)

I worked with my long-loved and trusted supplier to put this patch together, and I'm super stoked about how it turned out! Please note that the patch proof is computer-generated - I've worked with this manufacturer before and can assure y'all the colors won't look as spliced out as they do in the mockup. That's just how the embroidery software reads each different color!

We have just over $100 left in order to unlock these three pins and the patch, so if you see something here you like and want to update your pledge to add another pin (or the patch, which would count as a pin - you'll get to differentiate that on the rewards survey), don't forget to do so by Fri, September 16, at 8:28 AM EDT!

20 Days Away - 2 Stretch Goal Pins Revealed!!

Hi everyone!

We're 20 days away from the Kickstarter's end, and I wanted to show y'all 2 of the 3 pins that will be unlocked if we reach our $3,000 stretch goal (only $405 to go!!).

I'm in the final stages of approving the patch and the Nona the Ninth-themed pin design, and I'll announce those as soon as possible! Gives us something to look forward to if we reach that final goal...

Fingers crossed we reach that $3k goal so I can make these pins for ya! As always, your support and sharing on social media mean the world - it's so cool to see links to this project in the wild!! And I can't believe we're only 20 days away from the project's end - WOOHOO!
